As the name implies Capital City Speedway is home to local stock car racing in Canada's National Capital Region.

The track is a 3/8 mile paper clip oval.  The shape and design are very similar to the famous Martinsville speedway in Martinsville Virginia.

There is also a 1/8 mile drag strip on the front stretch that has been used for the past few seasons.
